ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT ANIMALS AND PEOPLE?

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the human-animal bond and the ways that Animal Assisted Activities can help others.

Make a difference and volunteer in a department that suits your individual skills, qualifications, and interests.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

• Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Tour Guides/Animal Care volunteers must be at least 21
• Commit to a minimum of 2 days a week or more
• Work a minimum of 12-20 hours a week
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and QuickBooks a plus!
• Be available to work on weekends and holidays
• Be flexible with schedule
• Limited animal interaction
• Must be able to complete and pass a background check
• Must reside within 30 miles of facility

Volunteer Program Positions:

ADMINISTRATIVE

Office volunteers assist in greeting guests and completing required waivers, answer the telephone and assist with office filing and organization duties.

PHOTOGRAPHER

Capture our guests candidly as they enjoy experiences with our unique animal ambassadors.

MAINTENANCE/ANIMAL CARE

Use your handy construction skills for a great cause and assist with various projects or animal care and daily husbandry.

TOUR GUIDE

Shadow our shining tour guides as they educate and engage guests with interactive tours and memorable animal encounters.

EDUCATION

Do your part in conservation by educating guests about the importance of respecting all species and spreading awareness about their individual roles in our planet.

LANDSCAPE

Assist with landscape and gardening duties including: weeding, planting and resodding enclosures.
